What is inside
How can embracing change, learning from failure, and staying open to new possibilities help shape a more purposeful personal and entrepreneurial journey?
Embrace Change traces Rohit Bagaria’s journey through curiosity, adversity, technology, entrepreneurship, and reinvention. From an early fascination with travel, Lego, and computers to building his first website and later working in Silicon Valley, the book explores how experiences that initially seem unrelated can gradually shape an entrepreneurial mindset.
Rohit also reflects on a difficult period in his youth when a serious hip condition left him unable to move normally for two years. That experience became an important lesson in resilience, perseverance, fearlessness, and self-belief. His later exposure to UC Berkeley, technology, international business, and startup culture broadened his understanding of failure, showing him that setbacks can be part of the process of learning and progress.
At the centre of the story is Budli, a venture built around the idea of change. Through ReCommerce, Budli enables people to resell used smartphones, tablets, laptops, and other gadgets, creating a model that connects entrepreneurship with responsible consumption, technology access, and environmental awareness.
The book examines how curiosity, independence, adaptability, and a willingness to change direction can influence both business and life. Rather than treating failure as the opposite of success, it presents experience as a way to discover better possibilities.
This book is for entrepreneurs, startup founders, professionals, students, and readers interested in innovation, technology, sustainability, personal development, and entrepreneurship.
It is particularly relevant to anyone navigating change, recovering from setbacks, exploring a new business idea, or seeking the confidence to turn curiosity and experience into purposeful action.

Embrace Change: Manifesting My Reality by Creating Budli
By Rohit Bagaria, Founder of Budli.in
“All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages.”
These lines from Shakespeare share a deep semblance to my story.
Writing a book has been on my bucket list for some time. It is a channel to express my thoughts, share my story and hopefully inspire someone to follow their dreams.
“To follow knowledge like a sinking star, beyond the utmost bound of human thought.”
Growing up, I've been passionate about three things - Lego, travel, and technology. I am a creator and I've always loved creating. My hobby since the age of 7 was collecting airline timetables & studying airline routes. I used to write to airlines around the world and they would send me their timetables. My childhood dream was to have my own airline.
Schooling was enjoyable as I used to enjoy learning. I used to do well in subjects where the teacher had the ability to retain my attention. In my humble opinion, intelligence is just a level of curiosity.
I took a big hit when I was 19. My hip joints had gotten fused and I was in excruciating pain and could not move for 2 years. A surgery enabled me to lead a normal life thereafter. This period of struggle taught me resilience, perseverance, grit, fearlessness and self-belief in overcoming all challenges. I was so dependent on others for everything that I swore to never be dependent on anyone ever again.
Introduced to technology at an early age, I had an affinity for computers. Initially, I enjoyed playing games on it. However, the introduction of the Internet opened up a new world to me. I could not find any website with information on airlines, so I figured out how to build my own website with this information compiled. Something which I did for fun got featured in The Times of India, a leading Indian newspaper, and to my surprise, I started getting advertisement offers on it.
However, I did not pursue it as I decided to go to UC Berkeley, California for further studies. Being in the Bay Area and meeting people from around the world was thoroughly enriching. Working at a software startup in Silicon Valley proved to be a useful learning experience. It opened my mind to new thoughts, ideas, and possibilities which would not have been possible otherwise. What struck me the most was the cultural difference in the attitude towards failure. I learned that failure was a part of success and one cannot succeed without failing.
