How we work · The Stardom Method

You do not write it alone. You also do not hand it to a stranger.

Our experts interview you, research around you, and bring every resource your book needs — so that it is presented at an international level, matching your seniority. You approve every page. The work is ours.

Three things that do not change

Your words. Your approval. Your name.

Written from your words

Every chapter is drafted from recorded interviews with you. Not a topic handed to a writer. Not a machine. Your perspective, your stories, your frameworks — set down properly.

Approved by you, at every stage

You approve the blueprint, each chapter, the final manuscript, the cover and the listing. Nothing moves to the next stage without you.

Published in your name

ISBN, Library of Congress number and US copyright registered to you. You own the book and everything in it. Stardom Books is the publisher, not the owner.

Five stages

From the first conversation to a book on sale worldwide.

Twelve to fourteen weeks, in five stages. Each one ends with something you hold and something you approve.

STAGE 01TOPIC

Planning. Clarity before commitment.

It begins with a consultation with a senior publishing advisor. Together you settle the type of book and its positioning — using Book as a Strategy — the reader it is for, the narrative structure, the chapter architecture and the publishing pathway. Nothing is written until this is clear, and you have not committed to writing or publishing until it is.

STAGE 02

Writing. Your words, our craft.

Our writers interview you — recorded, structured conversations about what you know and how you came to know it. They gather any material you already have, research around you, and draft the book chapter by chapter in your voice. If you would rather speak your book than write a word of it, that is how most of our authors do it.

STAGE 03

Finishing. Until you would put your name on it.

The manuscript goes through several rounds — editing for argument and flow, line editing, copy editing, then formatting and proofreading. The cover is designed to a professional standard with unlimited revisions, and you see mockups of the finished book before anything is printed.

STAGE 04

Publishing. Registered, printed, listed.

Stardom Books publishes the book — international ISBN, a Library of Congress number and US copyright registration in your name; paperback, hardcover, digital and audiobook editions; an Amazon A+ listing; and a listing with our worldwide distribution network. Copies are printed on demand close to wherever they are ordered.

STAGE 05

Leveraging. What the book is for.

A published book is the beginning of the strategy, not the end of the project. The launch, the media and PR kit, the author platform, promotion, and the speaking and consulting opportunities a book opens — with coaching and support to make sure the book does the work it was written for. Authors receive 75 percent of royalties.

  • Reviews and approvals — blueprint, chapters, manuscript, cover, listing
  • Speak it if you would rather not write — most of our authors do

A note from the publisher

Who this is not for.

Stardom Books · USA and India

This section risks sounding a little combative, so I wanted to write it myself. I believe strongly in honesty as a principle, and I would rather say now where we may not be the right fit.

We love nonfiction. That is our focus.

Business, leadership, how-to, brand stories, personal journeys, biographies and memoirs, best practices, patient handbooks, personal branding, lessons and insights, investor relations, niche topics. We do not work with authors writing fiction, children’s books or academic textbooks — other houses do those better.

Ghostwriting is a dealbreaker.

Ghostwriting hands a topic to a writer, who researches and writes an entire book for someone else to sign. It is like buying a degree to hang on a wall, and such authors never feel proud to present the book as their own. We use a consultative process instead. Our advisors, writers and editors interview you, ask questions, gather what you already have, and write the book for you, with you — so that your ideas, your perspective and your personality are in it. All the grunt work is ours; the book is yours.

Pre-written manuscripts — sorry, no.

Our programs are for authors who want to discuss their ideas with us, use our methods to create the book, and be published by us. We want to be in from the idea stage, where our skills and experience count. So we do not accept a finished manuscript and offer publishing services on top of it.

I want your business.

Right now you are considering placing your trust in my company and letting us manage your book. That is a responsibility for both of us, and the only way to begin is with truth and transparency — which is the purpose of this note.

Decision safeguards

Structured so a senior leader can commit in stages.

Commitment in phases

Planning first. No writing or publishing commitment until the concept, scope and outcome are clear.

Strategy before writing

Positioning, reader, structure and pathway are settled early, so no effort is spent in the wrong direction.

Experienced leadership

Led by senior publishing professionals with direct experience across 260+ first-time authors.

Usable assets at every stage

Outline, recommendations, recordings and workbooks — yours, and useful even if the project pauses.

Support that outlasts the project

Extended access to revisit decisions and resume momentum when circumstances allow.

Questions leaders ask

The ones that matter before you decide.

What if I do not know what my book should be about?

You do not need a topic to start. The planning stage exists to find it: what is your goal as an author, and who do you want to reach? Once those two are clear, the topic follows — and your publishing advisor works through it with you.

I do not have time to write a book.

Nobody does. That is why the method is built around interviews. You speak; we write. Most authors spend around thirty hours over the whole project, in conversations, reviews and approvals — not at a keyboard.

Will the book sound like me?

Yes. Every chapter is drafted from your recorded interviews, your perspective and your experience. You approve each chapter as it is written, so nothing reaches the manuscript that you would not have said yourself.

Who owns the book?

You do. Copyright is registered in your name, and you retain full ownership of the content and the intellectual property. Stardom Books is the publisher, not the owner.

Is this ghostwriting?

No, and we do not accept ghostwriting assignments. Ghostwriting hands a topic to a writer who invents a book for someone else to sign. We interview you and write from your words, with you involved at every stage — which is why our authors are proud to call the book their own.

Can you publish a manuscript I have already written?

Usually no. We work with authors from the idea stage, where our experience is worth the most. Publishing a completed manuscript is a printing service, and that is not what we are. If you are open to our editorial review and recommendations, we can be your publishing partner: schedule a call to discuss it first.

Is the process confidential?

Every engagement is handled with strict discretion and professional confidentiality, from the first conversation to launch.
