This policy covers stardombooks.com and raamanand.com, operated by Stardom Books, LLC (United States) and Stardom Books, LLP (India, formerly Stardom Alliance). It is written to be read.

Two companies run this site and are jointly responsible for the personal information it collects: Stardom Books, LLC, Coppell (Dallas), Texas, United States, and Stardom Books, LLP, Bengaluru, India. Stardom Books, LLP was formerly known as Stardom Alliance. You can reach either house through the Contact page; for anything about your personal information, write to the email address of the house nearest you and put “Privacy” in the subject line.
What you give us. When you use a form on the site — to request a proposal, send a message, nominate a leader, or invite Raam to speak — we receive what you type: your name, email, phone number if you give it, your company, your LinkedIn profile if you give it, and your message. We also record which page the form was on, and, if you arrived through a link with a tracking code, the code that told us where the link was shared.
What your browser sends. Like every website, our server receives your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, and keeps them in ordinary server logs for a short time for security and troubleshooting.
What analytics and advertising tools collect, with your consent. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, and we may use the Meta Pixel and the LinkedIn Insight Tag to measure our advertising. None of these is loaded until you accept the notice at the foot of the page; if you decline, they stay off and the site works exactly the same. Your choice is remembered in a small cookie for six months.
What we do not collect. We do not take payments on this site, so no card or bank details pass through it. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under eighteen.
To reply to you. That is the main reason. When you write to us, a person reads it and answers. If you ask for a proposal, we use what you told us to prepare it. If you nominate someone, we use your details only to reach out the way you asked us to, and we never publish a nomination.
To keep in touch, if you have asked us to. We send email through MailerLite to people who have subscribed or asked to hear from us. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.
To understand what works. Analytics tells us which pages are read and where visitors come from, in aggregate. We do not use it to identify you.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We share it only with the service providers that run this site and our work, each of them bound to handle it only for us: Hostinger, which hosts the site in its data centres; Google, Meta and LinkedIn, for the analytics and advertising measurement described above, only if you consented; MailerLite, for email we send; and Calendly, if you book a call. We may also disclose information where the law requires it or to protect someone’s safety.
Because we are two houses in two countries, information may be processed in the United States and in India. We hold it to the same standard in both.
Enquiries are kept for as long as we are in conversation with you and for up to three years afterwards, so that we can pick up where we left off. Server logs are kept for ninety days. Analytics data follows the retention settings of the tool, which we keep at the minimum offered. If you become an author with us, the records of your book are kept for as long as the book is in print, because the book is a permanent record and so is its paperwork.
Wherever you are, you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or ask us to stop using it for a particular purpose. People in the European Union, the United Kingdom, California and India have specific rights under their laws, and we honour them. Write to the house nearest you; we answer within thirty days and we do not charge for it. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the data-protection authority where you live.
The site sets one cookie of its own, to remember your consent choice, and a session cookie if you sign in to the admin. Analytics and advertising tools set their own cookies only after you have accepted the notice. You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time; the site will still work.
Some pages show videos hosted on YouTube or Vimeo. Nothing is loaded from those services until you press play; when you do, the video is served from YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain or from Vimeo with tracking turned off, and their own privacy policies apply from that point.
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and for anything material we say so on this page for thirty days. We will never make a change that lets us sell your information.
