Dr. Narayan Hulse is a senior joint replacement surgeon, author, surgical trainer, researcher, and review editor of orthopaedic journals. He currently serves as Director of Orthopaedic Surgery at Fortis Hospital, Bengaluru, India, and specialises in joint replacement surgery, arthroscopy, and pelvic-acetabular trauma.
His training and clinical experience span leading hospitals across three continents. After completing his medical training at Bangalore Medical College, he pursued postgraduate orthopaedic training at Madras Medical College, where he received gold medals as the best outgoing orthopaedic trainee at both the state and university levels. He later underwent higher surgical training in the UK and earned MRCS, FRCS in Trauma & Orthopaedics, and MCh in Orthopaedics from the University of Liverpool.
Dr. Hulse completed fellowship training in joint replacement surgery at St. Michael’s University Hospital, Toronto, and in pelvic-acetabular trauma at St. George’s Hospital, London. He has conducted numerous training programmes, performed live joint replacement surgeries for teaching, published scientific papers, authored textbook chapters, and delivered lectures internationally.
