Dr. N. K. Venkataramana is a renowned neurosurgeon and Founder Chairman of BRAINS Super Specialty Hospital, Bangalore, with over 35 years of experience in neurosurgery. He completed his neurosurgical training at NIMHANS, where he later served as Assistant Professor. He subsequently established leading institutions, including the Manipal Institute of Neurological Disorders and the BGS Institute of Neurosciences.
A pioneer in emergency healthcare, Dr. Venkataramana conceptualised India's first GPS-enabled trauma care network (1062), advancing pre-hospital emergency services in Bangalore. His contributions extend across neurosurgery, healthcare innovation, and emergency response. A widely published and internationally respected scholar, he has received numerous honours, including the Karnataka Rajyotsava Award and the Sir C. V. Raman Centenary Award.
